Story
The Poetry Society is a necessary instrument of conviviality. Its POETRY CAFÉ is in Covent Garden, central London. It's a little oasis of tranquility in the heart of the big city, and a place to find, read, listen to and discuss poetry. And poetry matters. More than we often acknowledge. It is a civilising thing. It is a socialising thing. It is a mental health thing. Done well it is disproportionately life-enhancing.
The Poetry Café has been undergoing long overdue refurbishment and has just re-opened. Come along and see for yourself.
Meanwhile, a relatively small amount of money is still needed to pay for the final bits of work.
