Story

Ok so here is the background story to Natalie Whiteside, written by her sister.....

THE HISTORY;
In 2011, when Nat was pregnant with her second baby, Bridget, she had a seizure. This brought to light a tumor on her brain.

Since then Nat has been put on all different types of med's and had countless scans to monitor this and as you can imagine this has been a testing time. Being a new Mummy again and having to keep up with family life each day has had it's up's & downs...

Nats most recent results has shown her tumor which is the size of a mars bar and located on the left side of her brain, has not grown since the last time she had a scan - however she has been given a few options to move forward with...

She can live with this tumor as long as it will let her, but there is an 80% chance this could turn to cancer. Once cancerous, this would be non-curable and she may only have 3-5 years to live.

Her other option is to have it removed. Like any operation this has it's complications. She could have a stroke or be left severely disabled.

As you can imagine, neither choice is one you would want to make.

Because of her condition Nat has become involved in a fledgling charity called "InBetweenEars". Registered Charity Number 1150916... This charity has been set up to specifically help people with brain tumours who need support that is not currently provided by any other official body.

Rather than just organise a single charity event we have decided to run the charity event throughout the year in order to raise awarness of the challenges brain tumours inflict on people.

Please share this site to as many of your friends as possible and lets increase the awareness of the danger.
