Story

Dennis Esqulant’s Lung Cancer Research Fund at Barts and The London Charity

Barts and The London Cancer Centre provides state-of-the-art treatment for patients with all types of thoracic cancer, especially lung cancer and mesothelioma (a cancer affecting the lining of the lung).

The Cancer Centre’s team of internationally recognised experts has been instrumental in the use of new therapies and continually develops clinical trials and laboratory research programmes for lung cancer. Current clinical trials involve new targeted anti-cancer agents for lung cancer, designed to kill the cancer while causing as few side effects as possible.

In addition to leading research in the field, the Centre provides a comprehensive service for treating lung cancer, including a symptom-control and palliative care service.

The Centre’s team are active members of the London Lung Cancer Group Clinical Trials Network as well as the National Cancer Research Institute Clinical Trials Programme.
