We run a dog rescue and rehoming centre to help abandoned, unwanted & homeless dogs

Story

10 years ago, Nerina and I adopted a very 'special' boy, from Just For Dogs, Brailsford , Derbyshire.

To celebrate Billy's 10th year with us, Just For Dogs 20th year and my 50th, I have entered the Lakes Sky Ultra(LSU). The LSU  is a Skyrace. Big distance soaring ridge lines, rock scrambling and more.  56km with 4500m of ascent. Rock and Run!

I have set myself this challenge in the hope that through
the generosity of my family, friends, work colleagues and dog lovers everywhere,I can raise enough money for Just for dogs as possible.

2017 is the rescue centre’s 20th anniversary and they are in the process of building a brand new luxury rescue complex with large spacious kennels all with underfloor heating, a luxury annexe for their long-term dogs, nursing and isolation facilities and so much more! This adventurous project may well wipe out all the funds the charity has, leaving them with a five star rescue but with no funds to run it.

Your donation will make all the difference in creating a
luxury safe haven for many thousands of homeless dogs in the future who, like Billy, find themselves abandoned,  lost
and alone….

Thank you for reading and in anticipation of your donation.

Just for Dogs was founded in August 1997 by a handful of like-minded people who simply wanted to rescue and re-home abandoned dogs. Founder members agreed that they would not get into any politics, rules or regulations and therefore it was decided there would be no long list of committee members drawing up endless policies.
