Story
In June 2012 my Mum had a severe stroke. At the time we were told that she would probably wouldn't survive surgery and if she did, she probably would never walk or talk again. The Stroke Association and Lewisham Hospital, along with her sheer determination were fundamental in rehabilitating her and teaching her all the things we never thought she would do again.
It is now 13 years later and Mum is walking, talking, is working and still gets to watch her beloved Charlton Athletic every weekend.
She really did defy all odds and we owe so much to everyone who helped her recovery.
