In 18th February I will be stumbling/running a half marathon with a couple of girlfriends from here in Q.  Judging by the current state of my feet, I wouldn't hold out for any record times, but I will be doing my best to get there as fast as poss!

We were all incredibly touched when the Director of Hope and Homes came to visit our children's school and, through videos and personal experience, explained how the organisation works.  It is a fantastic charity and the official charity of Meg, Lily and Harry's school.  They do wonderful work helping children left orphaned or in desperate poverty and support them in finding a loving home and often in developing a trade and earn to support themselves and their siblings.  The charity is based in the UK, hence this just giving page, however their work takes place in Eastern Europe, Africa and other parts of the world.

If you felt you could sponsor me a little something in this half marathon in Ras Al Khaimah (one of the UAE states, about an hour from Dubai!) I would be very grateful...
