I have decided to take part in a trek of the Himalayas to raise money for the Star appeal at York district hospital. This is a charity close to my heart as my grandad suffered a stroke and is currently receiving treatment from this amazing unit to help and support him in his recovery. The work they do helps people on a daily basis and this is my way of giving something back to them. 

I feel doing this will not only be a fantastic opportunity to raise as much money as possible but the mountains in the Himalayas look amazing and it will be such a beautiful experience and a personal achievement.
