Story
12 September
Well, we made it! I think we all found 10 miles a challenge and I wondered how folk ever manage walking or running a marathon. Then I thought of the challenges people at Garden House Hospice face every day and I was simply grateful to be out and walking. Our friend Linnie was one in a million and campaigned and supported all kinds of people, especially older people. You can find out about her from her obituary which was included in the Guardian newspaper at:

If you have a few coppers to spare, help us to help others in the Spirit of Lin Groves at Garden House Hospice.

When our dear friend Linnie died from cancer last year, her partner Angie invited us to walk with her to raise as much as we can for the wonderful Garden House Hospice,on their annual 10 mile 'Starlight Walk.' The hospice offers great support at the most difficult of times and we intend to honour Linnie's memory by walking in her name again this year. The walk starts at 11.30pm on Saturday September 10th.
Anita and I aren't terribly keen on asking people to sponsor us, but if you have a couple of shillings lying around, please pass them to us or you can donate to the Hospice through this very safe and secure web site. If you live in Letchworth, you can even watch out for us and give us a wave! Many thanks,
Steph
