So....after some arm twisting, I have voluteered to be part of the Cisco team taking part in the Deloitte Ride across Britain (RAB).  The RAB is a team relay race from John O'Groats to Lands End, and with some colleagues from the Cisco UK Public Sector team, we will be sharing the Manchester to Ludlow stretch - given I haven't been on a road bike for 24 years, a daunting challenge!

The RAB is the key fundraising event for Paralympics GB in the London 2012 Games. With a home Games just around the corner, we have a chance to change the way people think, feel and behave towards disability and the money we raise will go to Britain's top paralympics athletes to help with the preparations they need and deserve.

My training has started, my legs hurt, and I have already gone through 3 different types of cycling shorts!  Please dig as deep as you can to support the RAB and think of me riding across the hills on a saddle the size of a razor!
