Dear Parent or Carer,

We have joined a movement of schools uniting with Cancer Research UK and Channel 4 to Stand Up to Cancer, raising life-saving cash that will save lives.
On Friday 21st October pupils and teachers will style and colour their hair into gravity defying quiffs and bright red Mohicans, while the follicly challenged will don quirky wigs, all to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer. Staff and children in the school are really excited to wear their hair in the craziest styles imaginable, in fact we are running a competition for the tallest hair and the most extreme spiked up hair-do.
The school hopes to raise £500 for Stand Up To Cancer by paying £2.00 each to wear their hair standing up in non-uniform, holding a cake sale and through the children receiving sponsorship: children who gain sponsorship from family and friends will have the opportunity to become TEACHER FOR THE DAY! See what life is like on the other side of the desk and teach some lessons!
We decided to support Stand Up To Cancer because 1 in 2 of us will be touched by cancer in our lifetime and we think this is a really important cause. We need to stand together to change this: to save more lives, more quickly. Please support our fundraising by donating on this JustGiving page.
Thank you so much for your support, from all the staff and children at Petersfield Primary School.
