March 7th 2010, I was sexually assaulted whilst asleep. This year marks the tenth year. It is still something I think about daily. There are triggers all around. From a storyline on a tv show, the news, a crude joke, a phrase, to hearing the name of my attacker. My thoughts go to a place where I have to dig myself out from the dark.

It was unfortunate that my experience with West Midlands Police was difficult, and not one where I came out feeling like they had my best interests in hand.

Luckily, there was, and still is an AMAZING charity. CRASAC (Coventry Rape And Sexual Abuse Centre) This is where I was made to feel safe, and welcomed, and believed. 

After the court case, and a successful conviction, I thought I closed the chapter on that part of my life. Not knowing the heartache and the tricks my mind would  play on me.

I never really said thank you to the women at CRASAC. So I am hoping to raise as much money as I can to give back, and for them to know I appreciate everything they did and continue to do for other survivors. 

I will be running 10 x 10k runs. The first is at the end of March, and I will continue to let you know where and when the others will be.

EDIT **** Due to COVID the 10 organised runs were cancelled. i will be running ten 10k runs in ten consecutive days - October 21st to October 30th 2021 - with an extra 5k on October 31st as CRASAC have organised a run celebrating the 40th anniversary as a charity****

Please help me reach the £2,500 goal. It really does mean everything to me.
