Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Great North Run to raise awareness of breast cancer and help raise money for the charities that desperately need it to beat the fight against Cancer.

On the 13th March this year my family had some horrible news when we were told that my mum had been diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 56. Hearing that horrible 'C' word whilst sat in the doctors office is something you probably never get over but with the help and support received we have been comforted in knowing that this is now such a common thing that can be beaten. My mum had an operation to remove the tumour on the 2nd April and is now awaiting the results of the operation and waiting to start radiotherapy. We hope to have caught this early and be one of the families to go on and beat Cancer!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
