Walking the Wall 2014 · 12 September 2014

St Luke's Hospice Plymouth provides end of life care in Plymouth, South West Devon and East Cornwall. It is the generosity of the caring community and people like you who enable over 300 people and their families at any given time access to this specialist support through the toughest of times.

Story

The walking team is; Chris Boyle, Dave Parker, Lea Anne

The trail follows the ancient wall that once separated Wales and England, and our route is a total of 26.2 miles long. We'll be walking that in one day, on the 13th of September 2014. That is trekking a marathon, and as most of the team are inexperienced walkers, so this will be a long, arduous and downright painful challenge!

Why? People who have Cancer hurt every day, and while we will be in pain for a few days during and after the challenge, we will get better. They don’t. The people at St Luke’s Hospice care for people in their last days, providing safety and dignity and giving them the best quality of life in the time they have remaining. They also provide warmth, care and support to their families and friends during an impossibly difficult time.
