The social and emotional cost of sight loss is considerable. A recent report on the impact of sight loss found that 

• 2 in 5 people of those that
  responded experienced anxiety and depression they related to their sight loss.
• 1 in 4 said their sight loss has a negative impact on their personal relationships.
• 1 in 3 people were struggling financially. 
• The quality of life for people affected with severe sight loss was lower than those affected by diabetes, hearing loss, depression and even breast cancer

The frustration for us is that although we have attracted expertise to from around the world to work in Liverpool to tackle this health crisis, we do not have sufficient resources to do so. We need to act now and we need your help to do so.
