St John Ambulance Young Heros appeal · 7 September 2016

The nation’s leading first aid charity. Every year, more than 400,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes. Our volunteers provide first aid in their communities and thanks to them fewer lives will be lost needlessly. Raise money. Help save lives. Be the difference.

Story

Thanks for visiting our Just Giving page. We’re St John Ambulance and every year we teach around 250,000 young people how to save a life. Giving them the skills, knowledge and confidence to act when it matters most. We believe first aid is the most important lesson you can ever learn, but there are still thousands of young people who wouldn’t know what to do in an emergency. That’s why we’re calling on you to help us change this. Supported by the Mail on Sunday, we’re aiming to raise £500,000 - vital funds that will help us get a step closer to building a nation of life savers.

With £500,000 we can:

  • Reach 10% of schools in England with our life saving first aid education
  • Teach first aid essentials through assemblies to 70% more young people (175,000)
  • Develop this knowledge and train first aid techniques in greater depth to up to 75,000 school children
  • With the backing of Mail on Sunday, build on the success of The Big First Aid Lesson Live so that 200,000 young people can come together to learn first aid in a single day.

Please give what you can via our Young Heroes Appeal Just Giving page - every young person has the potential to be a life saver.
