First Touch is a charity that supports the Neonatal Unit at St Georges Hospital in Tooting. The unit cares for over 600 babies a year, many of whom are born prematurely, sometimes at just 24 weeks, and need live-saving surgery and intensive care. My god-daughter, Isabel, was looked after on the unit.

Every year First Touch raises thousands of pounds to help buy vital new equipment, but equally important is the work they do to support often bewildered and worried parents and families through funding a specialist care councillor who offers support, compassion, and guidance.
