Fundraising for Chester Aid to the Homeless (CATH)
Story
The Soup Creative team is taking on their first (and probably last!) Tough Mudder Challenge on Sat 20 May 2017. That's a gruelling 12 mile run with 20 obstacles thrown in for a good laugh! Given this may well be our first and last most physically and mentally challenging thing most of us will do (Stew can do the next one on his own!) we are hoping to raise money for a very good cause, Chester Aid to the Homeless, which should help to motivate us onwards towards the very distant finish line!
Stew, Garan, Emma, Ellie and Matt will need to bring some serious mental grit to make it around this course which promises lung-busting hills in addition to woodlands, water and yes, tons and tons of mud!

"The most I've ever ran is 5k which is only 3.1 miles so this is going to be tough to say the least! Let alone with all the obstacles too. I also believe that the mud and water comes pretty early on in the course so we'll be squelching our way around the gruelling 12 mile course!" Emma
"It's been great to have the exercise motivation that Tough Mudder has brought, having a reason to get running in the wet and cold which is all too common in England has been tough but exactly what I needed. With summer around the corner it's been a great way to get in shape. I have been spending my lunches training around Chester which not only gets me pumped to continue the rest of my day at work but I have discovered picturesque walking spots as well cool pub gardens (although that isn't part of the recommended training programme!). I can't wait to get out there as a team and finish as one. Wish us luck!" Ellie
Come along and join us. Spectators and more importantly moral support is welcomed! Tickets for spectators are just £10. A snip for having a good ole giggle at us lot for the day!
