Story
Kia Ora, Hello! Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page, supporting and fundraising for the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
I'm going to be running my heart out in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on October 7th in the big ol' City of London for 'Team Bones'. This will be my second half marathon ever (and for the year), and it should be an exhilirating one, running through four of London's Royal Parks and past historical landmarks such as Buckingham Palace (I'll give Queenie a wave if she's in), the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament and Royal Albert Hall.
I daresay I'll be one of the few Kiwi's running in it, so I'm supporting not only the Bone Cancer Research Trust but also representing New Zealand!
This is a major charity event, raising millions of pounds for heaps of charities. I've chosen to support BCRT as their honourable cause is working toward beating the monstrous and debilitating disease that is bone cancer, undertaking admirable medical research to do so.
I'll be training hard over the next 10 weeks, utilising the mighty hills and tracks we have here in Marlborough, and from August through to race day I'll be exploring the best training routes in Verona and Northern Italy to get myself ready for the Half.
I would greatly appreciate your support in my attempt to reach my fundraising target for BCRT, and I promise I'll gallop my fastest come race day!
Thank you!
Sophie
