Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have set up this new page and here is the story so far...
Pre-Covid, a Team of us called ourselves Russell's Brainiacs (Hannah, Nick, George & myself) to help raise vital funds for Brain Tumour Research (and run the 2020 London Marathon!). We have already raised a magnificent £20,821 which is incredible and thank everyone for their generosity.
Obviously, Covid put pay to running the 2020 London Marathon but the time has finally come and in less than 2 weeks time after over 2 years of waiting (and training!) I will actually be running the London Marathon for Team Russell's Brainiacs.
In 2019 Hannah's Dad, Russell Shreeves, was diagnosed with an incurable Grade 4 Glioblastoma and after months of gruelling treatment, including very lengthy neurosurgery & subsequent chemotherapy, sadly and tragically, Russell passed away on Thursday 5th December 2019.
This cruel cancer is the most common and the most aggressive cancer in the age group 45-65 yet only receives 1% of the total money raised for cancer research. If money raised can stop another person from having the same devastating outcome.
