Three Peaks Challenge · 5 September 2020

The Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre supports people affected by cancer. At the drop-in centre at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre, people will find a friendly face, a listening ear and answers to their questions about cancer and its treatments. Services also include complementary therapies and counselling.

Story

In September, I will taking part in the Three peaks challenge; climbing Mount Snowdon, Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike in 24hrs, to raise money for the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre at Mount Vernon Hospital.

My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2019. Despite her being so strong, she has had massive support from the Lynda Jackson Centre during her treatment, from start to finish. They provide support and information with anyone affected by cancer, from relaxation therapy sessions to support groups with others going through the same journey.

I am so grateful for everything they have done for my mum and friends we have met along the way. They rely solely on peoples donations to keep going. Please give as much as you can- every little helps. Thank you so much!
