Story
Myself and 35 other 2nd year Architecture students from the University of Nottingham, have worked together to design a much needed nursery school in a rural and underdeveloped province in South Africa.
Project “Aga Sikolo” will be built in three phases; I will be going between 24th March and 7th April which is phase one. For more information please view the following video, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FbYyGBJM6qY) or view our website (http://www.agasikolo.org/)
Students of the University have already completed two builds in South Africa:
Project Jouberton (http://www.projectjouberton.com/)
Project Limpopo (http://www.projectlimpopo.org/Project_Limpopo/Home.html)
In order to raise funds, I will be climbing Ben Nevis on the 23rd February. (Winter conditions!!) Every penny donated will go directly towards construction and building materials.
This fantastic cause will have long lasting positive effects for the children of Calais village, and the community as a whole. But this project does rely on the help and kindness of people to donate whatever they can.
Thank you for your interest and all donations are most welcome and greatly appreciated.
Project “Aga Sikolo” is a registered charity under the University of Nottingham (charity number X15294).
