Story
After saying I'd never run a marathon its too hard... I'm running a marathon this May.
I've never run 26.2 miles before, so far the longest I've run is 18miles, so its going to be a challenge.
I am raising money for St Gemma's Hospice in Leeds. This really is the most amazing place and well worthy of your donation. The care, compassion that all the staff give, and the peaceful comfortable surroundings, the support they give there just cannot be described.
Recent races to date:
York Brass Monkey Half Marathon - 22nd Jan (flat course but horrific weather!) - time 1.46.22
Liversedge Half Marathon - 12th Feb (mental hills, nice weather) - time: 1.45.47
British Military Fitness Major series - a 12km assault course type race with much mud, obstacles to climb/jump and wading through rivers etc (3rd March)
Leeds Half Marathon (13th May) - 1.46.46 (dull course, nice weather). a warm up to...
EDINBURGH MARATHON - 26.2miles (27th May) - no time in mind yet, just hoping to get round.
Other than running, BMF training, my full time job... I am found usually laid out on a couch, eating huge carb based meals, drinking red wine and eating vast quantities of dairy milk chocolate.
I'll update this page as we get nearer the time. If you'd like to make a donation St Gemma's Hospice really is an amazing cause.
I am running in memory of Jan Ringwood.
