We fund life-changing and life-saving work to support cancer patients at The Christie

Story

Update: We are incredibly lucky and excited to announce that my mum has now received the all clear and is back to her normal self!! Now we can take part in our fundraising events knowing that the work we are doing will actually help and support the next cancer survivor 💪🏽

As most of you are aware my amazing mum was diagnosed with cancer in January. We are very lucky to be able to say that they caught the lump early and she has now finished her 8 week treatment and awaiting the results. With an 80% chance of an all clear we know how fortunate and lucky we are. We are so blessed. Sadly, we also know that this isn’t the case for a lot of people who have cancer and my heart breaks for those that have been or are going through this right now! Hopefully the money we raise will help those in future have a better journey to beat this awful illness.

My mum would not have got to this point in her journey if it wasn’t for the amazing Christie Hospital in Manchester and all the surrounding staff like dieticians, speech therapists, nurses, doctors, etc. The level of care and support they have not only shown to my mum but the whole family during this time has been a very humbling experience. I was shocked to realise how much goes on behind the scenes of cancer treatment but being thrown into it like this has really opened our eyes! We will never be able to show our appreciation enough but we hope that raising awareness and money for the charity will be a small token of our gratitude.

Jordan and I wanted to show how special my mum is to everyone and how thankful we are to this charity - what better way than jumping out of a plane at 11,000ft on August 13th. 🪂

My brothers, Adam and Alex, will be taking on the Tough Mudder challenge in October 2022. This is a 10km, 20 Obstacle mud run - ouch 🏃‍♂️

My family will also be hosting a Charity Night at the local club with raffles and bingo to raise the last extra pennies and also celebrate with our loved ones ❤️

A huge thank you to all our friends and family for your constant love and support, we have been blown away by everyone’s kindness and generosity! What a team ♥️

And Finally, Mum, you are my everything, you don’t even know how special you are to everyone around you and I know if anyone can get through this still smiling and looking gorgeous, it’s you! Fingers crossed after this, the next plane I’ll be on is to a beach somewhere with you and cocktails in our hands♥️

Any time or money that you can spare for this amazing cause to help us reach our goal would be very much appreciated! If everyone seeing this, donated just £1 we would make such a huge impact. Every penny we raise will go straight to the charity, all activity fees have been paid by ourselves. Let’s do this!
