We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Hi All,

I’m running the London Marathon this year, raising money for the NSPCC. As many of you know I was planning to run last year, but unfortunately had to drop out due to injury… so this is the year!

It will be my first marathon, so a massive personal challenge. Am looking forward to getting stuck in to the training over the summer, and hopefully completing it in a decent time!

I wanted to run for a fantastic cause and the NSPCC is just that. Most will be familiar with the charity, but it's the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children - which is the UK's leading children's charity, which primarily aims to prevent abuse and to support children who have been affected by abuse. I feel really lucky to have gained a place to run for the NSPCC and raise money for such a great cause.

Would love to ask for your sponsorship - any amount however big or small will make a big difference!

Thank you, Sophie x
