Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hello everyone,
My big sister (Her name is Lucy, she also has a page) was diagnosed with a brain tumour just before last Christmas so we are raising money for some of the charities that have supported us through the very difficult last few months.
The event we're currently organising is a 12 mile sponsored walk on our home island, Anglesey, to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. This charity funded the special teenage unit in Clatterbridge hospital on which my sister stayed whilst receiving her first 6 week bout of treatment. The unit meant that Lucy could mix with people her own age who were in a similar situation to her and also that she had some privacy in the form of a small room of her own. It was a real Godsend for Lucy whilst she was receiving treatment and made those few weeks more bearable for her.
Our hope is that with enough money, the Trust can fund such a unit in every cancer care hospital because it really does make a huge difference!
So please, please sponsor us!
