Story
Dear Friends
I have been given the opportunity to represent the UK in South Africa after winning Gold medal in playing tennis at the UK in Medway Kent. As most of you know I enjoy playing tennis and I feel honoured to be selected but also to demonstrate the success of my own transplant and leading a normal active life.
The World Transplant Games purpose is to publicise to increase public awareness of transplants and thereby increasing organ donation, as well as promoting the full rehabilitation and wellbeing of our participants, and to remember donors and their families.
My own personal experience I have had kidney failure for over 15 years and have been fortunate to have had a live kidney transplant from my sister. We were not a blood group match, so I had to undergo treatment for antibody removal to ensure that help ensure the kidney would not. Prior to this, I was in a life threatening situation and but my sister gave me the opportunity to get my life back. I am more than happy to talk to anyone who is going through similar experiences, so please feel free to contact me if you want more information.
Being able to lead a normal and active life and be able to play tennis again, words cant describe. For more information on organ donation please visit: www.organdonation.nhs.uk and for this reason any extra donations will go toward organdonation Trust.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. I hope to reach my target, but need your help. Thank you for all your support
God bless Sophie xxx
