Legs4Africa are a wonderful charity that have a mission close to my heart. They visit limb centres similar to where I work, collect unwanted prosthetic legs and send them to Africa to be fitted to an amputee.       

It is estimated over 5000 prosthetic legs are destroyed per year in the UK. It is very sad knowing many amputees are not fortunate enough to have a healthcare system like ours. I see first hand just how traumatic, both physically and emotionally going through amputation can be. To me it is a human right to walk and lead a independent life.
