Story
Hello
It's nearly time for my annual jaunt around Hyde Park. I will be taking part in the 5k Hydro Active Women's Challenge on Sunday 16 September 2007 to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young. I would be very grateful if you could sponsor me and support this wonderful charity.
My cousin Alex was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in 2004. He says: "CRY played an important role in my life when I was diagnosed with HCM. I was informed by the Consultant in Oxford about my condition and the chance of sudden death syndrome so I really needed someone to talk to about what this meant to me and what I should do next - I felt scared and alone. Eventually I ended up speaking to the Chief Executive of CRY who provided me with a wonderful level of reassuring advice and pointed me towards the Heart Hospital in London and the specialist expert care of Prof McKenna and his team. Without CRY I think I would have had a much tougher time dealing with the diagnosis and may not have ended up under the care of Prof McKenna so I am thankful to CRY and believe that they are a worthy cause to support."
If you would like to sponsor me, donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cardiac Risk in the Young will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you, so every £100 raised becomes £128.
Thank you so much.
