Live Music Now's Songs and Scones events act as a musical catalyst for friendship and community. Through Live Music Now's network of regional branches, older people who are isolated or experiencing lonelienss are invited to join others in their community for a regular, uplifting, musical afternoon tea. The real magic of Songs and Scones happens over tea and cake as the musicians chat with the people attending, learning about their musical loves and favourite songs, which they can then perform and showcase at subsequent Song and Scones events. They are happy, inclusive, life-enhancing events. With our support, Live Music Now hopes to bring Songs and Scones to libraries and community spaces up and down the country on a monthly basis for a whole year.
