Story

in support of CHAS (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland) & Save the Children Ukraine Fund
at Highland Rugby Club Canal Park Inverness 18th/19th June 2022

Pre COVID - the Inverness Business Fives group in partnership with CHAS, (Children’s Hospices Across Scotland) have staged the Sneckie Insomnia Soccer five a side OVERNIGHT festival at Inverness Leisure Centre, Bught Park in January for three years. The aim is to encourage folk of all ages to share both the physical benefits of the game and the privilege of raising funds to support CHAS to deliver its services throughout the Highlands and Islands.

CHAS provides respite and end of life care for children with life shortening conditions and their families, across Scotland. In the Highlands families are supported by a specialist CHAS at Home nursing team based in Inverness.

In light of recent events in Ukraine, the Inverness Business Fives would like to pledge a 50/50 split of the final target to CHAS and Save the Children Ukraine fund, who are already on the ground in Ukraine, and neighbouring countries, providing access to critical, life-saving services and support. Let's bring joy to those both in Scotland and Ukraine this 2022.

June 2022 EVENT

The Sneckie Insomnia Soccer Festival will be held at Highland Rugby, Canal Park starting with youngsters at 1pm on Saturday 18th, with adults starting from 7pm until the small hours on 19th June 2022
