Story
I will be taking part in Watergate 16HR, my very first ULTRA-Marathon in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia over the 9th and 10th of January 2016. The race lasts 16 hours and I intend to be #Smilinggg from the very first to the very last minute. This is to raise both awareness & money for the Mind Charity in association with my daily positivity practice Smilinggg.
Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. But hundreds of thousands of people are still struggling.
Mind believe no-one should have to face a mental health problem alone. They'll listen, give you support and advice, and fight your corner.
My mission is simple. To build healthier and happier lives, one step and one smile at a time. I will be doing everything I can to cover well in excess of 100km during the 16 hours. That'll be a lot of steps and smiles!
With registration for the event set to close in the upcoming days, I remain the ONLY UK entry, with most participants from Malaysia, Singapore, India and a couple from Iraq.
It would mean so much to have your support. If this resonates with you please consider a donation however big or small. Your support and every penny raised makes a huge difference.
I was blown away by the support for my first marathon in August. Thanks to your generous donations we were able to send £1,303.04 to Mind on that occasion. Let's come together to inspire positive change, one step and one smile, one penny and one pound at a time.
I'll be running for 960 minutes so I thought an initial target of £960 made sense.
Thank you so much.
