Story

First of all, thank you kindly for taking the time to donate money to a worthy cause!

[EDIT: After signing up to this race I had a series of injuries, hip, knee, toe, back, neck and arm problems which meant none or rubbish training for about 7 months!

5 weeks to go until the start and I've been able to start training properly again, the whole fiasco affecting my desired finish time, however, I cannot wait for the day and will give it my all!!]

Aim - To complete the UK IronMan in Bolton, England in 17 hours on 22/07/2012.

If you don't know what this is about I'll keep it short:

*  IronMan Triathlon [1 day race] consists of:

   2.4-mile (3.86 km) Swim,

   112-mile (180.25 km) Bike,

Marathon run to finish 26.2 miles  (42.195 km)..

I have also had a £50 bet with a freind, I think I can do 3 burpees on the finish line! :]

The only notable event I've previously completed is the London Marathon which I completed with no training. I have had to learn to swim again, starting with one length at a time and a bellyful of water but now I regularly swim 2 miles in openwater.

Please go and sign up to anything, runs, swims, tri's, cycle rides, walks.. Anything.. The motivation is great and the feeling upon completion is unrivalled.

I hope to see you soon so I can thank you in person.
