Jim White is now joining the Skydive!!
Thanks for visiting Anna, Issy, Sarah and Jim White's JustGiving Skydive for Dylan page.
Well we did it - we all jumped from 13,000 ft July 21st to raise vital funds to find a cure for Dylan Samantha Souter who suffers with Rett Syndrome.
We've covered the cost of our jumps so all your money will go directly to charity.
This is a rare and very severe neurological disease which almost exclusively affects girls.
Dylan developed like any other little girl until the age of one - crawling, playing and saying a few words. Then she became tired, weak, confused, anxious and withdrawn. Dylan lost the ability to communicate and use her hands and was soon diagnosed with Rett Syndrome.
Despite daily therapy it is likely that Dylan will suffer from epilepsy, breathing difficulties and scoliosis. Most girls with Rett Syndrome will end up in a wheelchair being fed through a tube. Life expectancy is poor.
Dylan is not alone - every 5 hours a girl is born with Rett Syndrome.
In 2010, Dr Alysson Muotri from the University of California managed to reverse the symptoms of Rett Syndrome in human cells. So a cure is a reality and your money will make a huge difference. Every donation will go to Rett Syndrome Research Trust UK.
