Story
We turn 30 this year!!! To celebrate we want to raise money for a great cause so we are rising to the challenge, throwing on our walking boots, walking the three peaks and raising money.
We need your help.
We chose to support Royal Manchester Children's Hospital because a colleague's niece lost her battle to leukaemia in 2015 at age 11. We recently donated £5,000 and visited the hospital to see where the money would be spent. We were very impressed and would like to do more for them.
A little about the hospital:
Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital has 371 beds and treats over 220,000 patients every year, not only from across the entire North West region but also nationally and internationally. As the largest single site children’s hospital in the UK, the hospital offers specialist services including bone marrow transplantation and paediatric intensive care. The hospital also has the UK’s largest specialist burns unit which treats over 450 children and young people with burn injuries every year.
The NHS can only provide so much. Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity plays a vital role in raising additional funds for the hospital. The charity’s mission is to support excellence in the treatment, research and care provided to patients, making a real difference to the children and young people in their care, ensuring patients receive the highest quality treatment in the very best surroundings. Donations are used to support the purchase of specialist equipment to diagnose and treat young patients more quickly and easily, funding pioneering medical research to increase understanding of children’s illnesses and the very best ways to treat them, and creating a child-friendly environment allowing children to feel welcome and at ease.
Please reach deep in your pockets. It's a great cause and close to our hearts.
