Story
The Skehill Academy of Irish Dance will be holding a sponsored “Stepathon” to raise funds for Hertfordshire Mind Network, a charity supporting mental health in our communities. As a local, independent charity responsible for their own funding every pound makes a difference. Mental health has touched so many of our lives we felt this would be the perfect charity to support during these difficult times.
The Stepathon is due to take place on 15th October but before the event
has even taken place, we have been overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity and seem to have already passed our target of £300. Our Stepathon will still take place, as arranged, but as this cause appears to be so popular with everyone, we are now accepting donations through Justgiving.com from anyone who would like to donate. Our initial Justgiving target is £500. We are sure we can reach this together and help support this fantastic charity.
Their story:
Hertfordshire Mind Network
We are launching this appeal and asking for your support - to help us increase our service provision across the county and support Hertfordshire residents whose mental health has been impacted by COVID-19.
In the last two months we have adapted how we support our clients whilst ensuring that we follow the necessary guidelines. Our staff teams are working remotely and are providing support through phone, Skype and online provision. We have also extended the opening hours of our Crisis Helpline to 24/7 to ensure that we are here for Hertfordshire residents anytime night or day.
The money raised through this appeal will help us to continue investing in innovative online platforms to improve the way in which we provide support and ensure that we are able to support every Hertfordshire resident that reaches out to us during this difficult time.
As a local, independent charity responsible for our own funding every pound makes a difference - please donate today to help us support people across Hertfordshire.
