Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page Sion Hughes Carew and Harvey Howlett are walking of the 85 miles of the Hadrian's Wall Path to raise funds for SANE,  one of the leading charities in the UK working to improve quality of life for anyone affected by mental illness.

Harvey's Story  - Harvey faced turning 40 contemplating suicide and suffering from an acute depression. Medical help and generosity and support from friends helped him to understand his illness and find his way slowly to recovery. Many people are less fortunate and are faced not only with a debilitating illness but with significant discrimination and stigma surrounding it.10 years later Harvey is using his 50th Birthday year to raise funds for SANE and this walk is one part of the fundraising.

Please help by sponsoring the walk and in a small way help the lives of those living with mental illness.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.  Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
