Story
Some of you may know that I occasionally do a 10k and have even stretched to a half marathon and I've never done it to raise money. However, after this year's CHAS Ladies' Lunch, hearing the stories from the CHAS parents and seeing what incredible work CHAS does, I've decided I'm going to do a series of events over the next year to raise money for this extraordinary cause.
The plan is to do at least 1 race/event per month, from a 5k to my very first marathon, with the hope of finishing with the Kiltwalk Glasgow in 2019. So far, I'm signed up to do Loch Ness Marathon (only 12 weeks away!!!) on 23 September and Supernova Kelpies on 10 November. Supernova will be extra special because I'll be running that with another CHAS supporter and our kids (aged 5 & 6).
I'll keep the page updated with any other events that I sign up to but hope to do Paisley 10k in August, Kilmacolm Half Marathon in September, a Santa Dash in December and Gryffe Rotary 10k in April/May.
If you have any suggestions or recommendations I'd be grateful to receive them.... I'm up for a challenge so let's see what you can come up with!!
Finally, if you could spare a few pounds to help me get through the next year and make the challenge a worthwhile one, I'd be very grateful and I know CHAS will really appreciate it.
