Story
Many members of One to One Enfield with autism or learning disabilities live alone and have no online access; no Wifi, internet, smart phones or tablets and have therefore not seen their family or friends for months during Covid-19. For the most vulnerable in society, this is likely to continue for longer, while the rest of the world returns to social contact.
Sing Out Choir are raising money for One-to-One Enfield to get isolated people with learning disabilities or autism access to the internet via smart phones and give them a way to safely connect with their loved ones through video calls and take part in online social activities such as our Choir Zoom and Facebook sing-a-longs.
The doorstep filming of our celebrated Hey Jude lockdown video was designed to provide connection and social support to our choir members, many of whom are heavily supported by One to One Enfield. We've so far had over 33,000 views and the most supportive feedback!
Please watch our 2-minute Behind the Scenes film about the making of our Hey Jude video that highlights the social isolation faced by the most vulnerable in our society.
