We give help and support to local families to build better lives for their children

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It was World Mental Health Day on 10th October and this has prompted me to want to do something, as funding for mental health services is severely lacking for all.

I believe that good mental health foundations are laid down in childhood, and as such we must support families when they are struggling. We must provide safe places and therapy for children.

This local charity I have chosen provide all of the above and desperately need our support so they may continue to support those most in need.

To raise this money, I am planning to go into my workplace on Wednesday 13th October, armed with a pair of clippers and scissors, and for a minimum donation of £5  (please give more) my colleagues can take a 1" section of my hair away. This is to symbolise cutting remarks people make towards those with mental health conditions and how it slowly breaks you down.

Words have so much power, especially over those that feel powerless..

If you're not at my workplace and would like to donate and choose a piece of hair to take please contact me :)

I will be filming bits of the day and putting progress up on my Facebook.

Please do get involved and donate as much as you can afford to this wonderful charity.
