Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On  29th August I am attempting a bike ride from John O'Groats to Lands End in memory of my mum, Val Williams who passed away of a brain tumor at the young age of 57.

Though mum only had a short battle with cancer, she was expertly cared for and supported by the wonderful people at Willen Hospice, as was the whole family during a difficult time. As a small way of saying thank you  I am doing this bike ride and also to give something back so that other families can receive the help we did from Willen Hospice in their time of need.

A SPECIAL THANKYOU TO MCAFEE.COM WHO HAVE SPONSORED ME TO THE TUNE OF £500, THIS HAS BEEN DONATED DIRECTLY TO WILLEN HOSPICE. :-D

I will be attempting to complete the 911 mile route cycling solo with my dad driving the much needed support vehicle and looking to complete it within 14 days. As you will see I am taking the easy north to south route route and therefore expect it to be down hill all the way, but please dont let this stop you from donating generously though :-)

Donating through this site is simple, fast and secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Willen Hospice will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

Simon
