Gee and I will be  running the Great North Run in 2023 in support of St Bede’s Palliative Care Unit at the Queen Elizabeth NHS Trust, Gateshead, in memory of my sister Sarah Garrett who passed away at St Bede’s in July 2022. 

Despite us all going through the worst experience imaginable, the staff at St Bede’s looked after Sarah and the entire family with such care, compassion and professionalism that I felt I had to do something in return
