Story

Sgt Hodgson joined the army in 1981 and following his initial military and trade training in Catterick qualified as a Telecoms Mechanic in 1984. During his service he completed tours in Cyprus, Germany, Falkland Islands and Northern Ireland.

Throughout his career he displayed exemplary standards both as a soldier and tradesman, producing the highest standards throughout. He led by example and was a source of motivation for others who aspire to attain the very same qualities of leadership and professionalism.

Simon Hodgson was an exceptional man and soldier.
