Story

First, the good news: I managed to complete this charity challenge several years ago.

But the bad news? That was when I cycled a LOT and 150 miles over two days was no big deal.

One of my hilarious friends has coerced me into doing it again this coming June. Unfortunately, I have hardly sat on a bike since the last event, and it might be something of a medical miracle if I complete it.

I know times are tough for everyone but if you could spare a few pounds to encourage me to get through the two days in the saddle, that would be awesome.

The cash is going to two great causes - the Ipswich Town FC Community Trust and the Futurestars charity, which supports children in education and sport in Ghana.

I will not be totally unprepared - I have started spin classes to try and get some fast-track cycling fitness back (yes, really).

While it will help, I will remain miserably unprepared for two successive six or seven-hour days out on the road. My backside will be... well, you can imagine.

Please make my pain and misery worthwhile by making a donation now :-)

I hope to survive to thank you all afterwards.
