Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have always wanted to run a marathon but have come up with various excuses over the years and always stopped with the half marathons.
This year, I decided I was fed up with my own excuses and therefore set myself this challenge.
I am running for the charity "Beating Bowel Cancer" for one very good reason and one very special and inspirational young lady, Mrs Charley Kitley.
Charley was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in February 2012 and it has since spread to her liver and her lungs. She was told it was inoperable/incurable and had 6mths to live November 2012. Fabulously she is still here in Jan 2014!
Since her dianosis, she has undergone 3 operations, 25 rounds of radiotherapy and 38 rounds of chemo (most people are offered 6 or maybe 12!).
She remains upbeat and determined to live long with love and laughter and is a massive inspiration.
You can read all about her latest adventures on her blog -

She is a regular contributor to Huffington Post and soon to be featured by the Saatchi Bill (who are campaigning for a change in the treatment of cancer).
She is a massive inspiration for all of us who know her well and highlights the benefits of a positive mental attitude and a stubbornness never to accept what she is told by the medical faculty.
