We have teamed up with Swimfinity to bring you this year's open water swim fundraiser! The Mere Mile will take place on Monday 30th August at the Mere, Ellesmere and swimmers can set themselves the challenge of completing a 1 mile or 2.5 mile swim.

Story

Rebecca Taylor-Barnes and Simon Richards of Ironbridge Rowing Club are swimming the Mere Mile on Monday 30th August.  This is a 1 mile open water swim in the Mere, Ellesmere, Shropshire.


To raise vital funds for the benefit the League of Friends to the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital we are taking part in an open water swim event, the Mere Mile. The League of Friends give essential support for patients, relatives and staff by providing services, organising volunteers, funding equipment, issuing grants and being at the heart of wellbeing for RJAH. The pandemic has proved challenging for the charity and your support is needed now more than ever.Any donation, large or small, would be gratefully received. Together we can make a difference.

The Friends give essential support to RJAH by providing services, organising volunteers, funding equipment, issuing grants and supporting wellbeing.
