About 14months ago, during my brother-in-law's 50th Birthday party and over a few glasses of nice vino I decided to say "Yes Count Me In!" to the 3 Peaks Challenge...I wasn't much of a walker the time but over the past year I have scared myself half to death on striding edge (not too good with heights and ridges), completed scarfel in the rain, completed Snowdon in fog and completed Ben Nevis in freezing conditions.....(I'm hoping for a view on the day of the challenge).

All this effort is for a good cause and it really is - the charity we are doing the challenge for is South Liverpool Vineyard Church.

The Church provides both practical and financial help to local domestic abuse charities in the Liverpool area.

Often the women and their families are rehoused in pretty basic housing, which is generally not in the greatest condition. Some of the money raised will go to buying paint and materials to brighten up a few rooms and make their house feel more of a home. This is all done on a voluntary basis and your donations, however great or small, will make a difference and help continue the good work.

I promise to do my best on the challenge - the aim is 24hrs but inreality, with a team of 16 it is very unlikely but we will be aiming to complete it as fast as possible...I will keep you all posted:))))
