Story

Hi Guys,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most of you are already aware, my mum unfortunately passed away very suddenly last year having suffered a very serious stroke during the night. The past year have been very difficult for me and my family, as will the up coming months and years. To take my mind off things I have decided to concentrate on remembering my mum in a way that would raise the profile of strokes as well has making her proud. So I have decided to raise as much money as possible for charity. Having watched the London Marathon in April 2009, I applied and was accepted to run the 2010 marathon, putting my body through 26.2 miles gruelling miles in our nations capital. The charity I will be running for is the Stroke Association, very appriopriate as most of you will agree. This charity has supported us a great deal and this is a great way to show our appreciation.

Unfortunately I will not be sporting any erectile dysfunction t. shirts, much to alot of peoples disappointment, however I will be training in leggings and high visibility coats, , due to the baltic weather conditions our country seems to be so infamous for, so that could be considered as just as bad.

I understand you are always being asked to donate money to charity, so any donations whether they be large or small will be very much appreciated and will go a long way to seeing the Stroke Association's work continues.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Simon
