We care for people at the end of their life to support them and their loved ones

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Having run the Great South Run in 2010 for Cancer Research UK,  in 2011 for the NSPCC. I had already decided that I would be running it in 2012 but hadn't decided for which charity.

Sadly on the 1st February this year I lost my grandad or as he was fondly known 'Gumpy' to cancer. Watching the man we all loved slowly deteriorate over his 4 month battle was hard. His final week was spent at the 'Earl Mountbatten Hospice'. The work they do and the care they provide not only for the patients but the families also is exceptional. The Hospice relies heavily on the donations that people so generously give. So please help me reach my target or even better exceed it for this amazing charity so they can continue to provide help and support to patients at the Hospice.

Thank you

Simon
