Race Completed

 Dear friends and family, I ran a good race yesterday in the Great South Run ,Sunday, the 30th October.

I managed the ten miles in 1 hr 28mins 28secs coming 5031st out of 24000. Chuffed I am! The day was ala drizzle with a mild S.W. breeze but the crowds and bands en route were a constant spur.

The right heel pained all the race as expected so I'm hobbling today. Perhaps it was drinking too much liquid before the race that made such a good time as I needed the loo for the duration of the ten miles. Copious vaseline kept the chafing away, hurray!

Anyway, I am now waiting for a 'finishing' picture from the race which I will post up in time and share a modicum of achievement for such a good cause.
