I am taking part in the "Lockton Excom Charity Cycle Event" in aid of Alzheimer's Society, the UK's leading care and research charity for people with dementia and those that care for them.

What is the challenge? 

10 members of the Board at Lockton will be split into 2 teams "Lockton Chain Gang" and "Julian's Wheels of Steel" in a cycle relay challenge which will see "Julian's Wheels of Steel" cycling from our Manchester office to our Birmingham office and "Lockton Chain Gang" cycling from our Bristol office to our Birmingham office.

Both routes cover 165km, and I am obviously hoping that my team "Lockton Chain Gang" will reach Birmingham first!

Please sponsor me and give generously to support Lockton's charity of the year Alzheimer's Society.  A staggering 1 in 3 peopole will end their lives with dementia which is why your sponsorship is so hugely needed.  Dementia is not a natural part of ageing; it can even strike people in their 30's, 40's and 50's.  Dementia is caused by diseases of the brain and gradually robs people of their lives.  Alzheimer's Society believes that no one should go through dementia alone, help them make that vision a reality.
